Giancarlo Stanton: I would’ve hit 80 home runs if I cheated like Astros

The latest episode of Bash the Astros featured Giancarlo Stanton, and he didn’t disappoint.

The Yankees star took his turn unloading on the team that cheated in 2017, declaring to reporters in Tampa, “If I knew what was coming in ‘17, I would have hit 80-plus homers,” via YES’ Jack Curry.

The 2017 NL MVP with the Marlins hit a career-high 59 home runs that year.

Stanton, 30, also echoed teammate Aaron Judge, believing the Astros’ 2017 World Series title should be stripped.

“If the investigation (showed) it was clean cut that they cheated that year, which means it should be taken away,” Stanton said, via ESPN.

Stanton also said he’s without limitations as spring training begins after dealing with arm and leg issues last season.
