Here’s what U.S. Ryder Cup players will be wearing in France

As it has been the last two Ryder Cups, Ralph Lauren is in charge of outfitting the U.S. team for next week's competition outside Paris.

Justin Thomas is set to make his Ryder Cup debut at Le Golf National and is one of Ralph Lauren's sponsored athletes. It's worth noting that players are wearing white pants on Friday and Sunday, paired with navy blue and white striped "airflow" jerseys ($98.50 retail) on Friday and stars and stripes navy jerseys on Sunday (also $98.50).

Tiger Woods, who made Jim Furyk's team as a captain's pick, is known for wearing his Nike red shirt and black pants on Sundays. Obviously, his Ryder Cup look will go against the norm. Back in 2011 at the Presidents Cup in Melbourne, Woods wore white pants for the first time "since I was about 8," according to media reports.

White pants aren't for everyone, of course. According to The Dapper Drive blog, it's absolotely fine for the casual golfer to wear white pants after Labor Day. But be sure to check the forecast. No one wants mud splashes on their crisp whites. Wear whites sparingly and consider the golf course and the audience.
