The Sheffield star is battling to land a big-money domestic row with Bolton’s Amir Khan but World Boxing News say he has lost his cornerman.
If true, the news is another big blow to the Winobank gym after Billy Joe Saunders lost his WBO title over a botched drugs test.
Brook, 32, started fighting aged 12 under the guidance of legendary trainer Brendan Ingle who was the mastermind behind Prince Naseem Hamed.
Brendan passed away in May after Dominic had taken charge of his skilled stable of Yorkshire fighters, including Special K.
In September 2016, Dominic pulled Brook out of his courageous bid to snatch the IBF and WBC middleweight titles off then-champ Gennady Golovkin.
Brook defended his cornerman for throwing in the white towel at his beloved Bramall Lane, home to Sheffield United.
He said: “I came back after the second round and said 'I can't see out of the right eye, Dominic'.
"I was talking to him, and he knows me, he saw me growing up as a kid.
"He's like a father figure. It was the right decision and I can fight another day. I was getting caught, and getting caught. It could have ended up seriously bad.”
