The 24-year-old says he is "very happy" to follow World Cup team-mate Adrien Silva to the Foxes.
Leicester boss Claude Puel told the club website tonight: “I’m delighted to have a player of Ricardo’s quality on board for next season.
"I remember him well from my time at Nice.”
Pereira and Foxes midfielder Silva, 29, will be off on international duty this week after Portugal confirmed their call-ups for Russia.
And former Nice loanee Pereira is relieved to have tied up his move to the Premier League before he focuses on the World Cup.
He told LCFC TV: “I feel very happy to be here and I can’t wait to do my best to help the team.
"The atmosphere, the fans and the football of the Premier League makes it the best in the world.
"I am here to support the team and to help the Club to achieve its goals.”
