Expect Oct. 28 and Dec. 9 to be circled and highlighted on defensive tackle A.J. Francis’ calendar.

After being released Monday by the Redskins, the 27-year-old journeyman announced he signed with the Giants the following day, going scorched earth on his former NFC East home in the process.

“When the team you were on didn’t appreciate you but the team you played against actually pays attention to the film…” Francis posted on Instagram, along with a series of hashtags including, ” #NYStateOfMind #GIANTS #GMEN #BigBlue #NewBeginnings #ImaSeeYallAssTwiceThisYear #October28th #December9th #AndYourLogoIsRacist #ThisMeLaughingAtYallBIGMADinTheCommentsToo.”

Francis played six games for the Redskins last season, before being waived in October and re-signed in late November. He previously had stints with the Patriots, Dolphins and Seahawks.

Among the hashtags Francis used was “#AndYourLogoIsRacist.” The Redskins have long been entangled in a name controversy — many view it as a slur — and the logo involves Native American imagery.
