The Senegal forward scored after just nine minutes in the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday night as Liverpool beat Roma 7-6 on aggregate.
In Madrid on Tuesday, though, Keylor Navas starred for Real Madrid as they progressed past Bayern Munich with a 4-3 aggregate win.
Despite being beaten by Joshua Kimmich early on and then allowing James Rodriguez to tuck in against his parent club, Navas received 55 per cent of the votes on uefa.com, compared to Mane's 45 per cent.
Mane opened the scoring when Radja Nainggolan gifted the ball to Roberto Firmino and the Brazilian set up his team-mate to slot past Roma goalkeeper Alisson.
The Liverpool man almost got his second of the night after a powerful Andrew Robertson run down the left, but this time was denied by Alisson's foot.
From the resulting corner, though, Georginio Wijnaldum headed in for his first away goal since May 2015.
Navas made a a total of eight saves for Los Blancos in the 2-2 draw, his highest tally in a Champions League knock-out game.
In the second half alone, he made a string of crucial stops to deny David Alaba, Mats Hummels, Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski.
Navas said: "It was a very difficult match. We suffered a lot but in the end earned the spot in the final, which is what we all wanted from the beginning."
Both managers on Tuesday night acknowledged the Costa Rican's performance, with Jupp Heynckes saying Real Madrid "should thank Navas for his performance".
Zinedine Zidane added: "You notice the great goalkeepers in the big matches. He helped us a lot with his saves in the second half. He kept us alive."
Although Real Madrid have El Clasico on Sunday evening, their primary focus will be the Champions League final in Kiev on May 26.
Mane will be hoping to get the better of Navas on the night and atone for missing out on this week's crown by helping Liverpool to a sixth European Cup success.
