The French forward as struggled during an injury-hit first season at the Nou Camp since he joined from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
Dembele cost Barcelona £100million as they looked to replace Neymar, but he has failed to live up to his billing.
And according to Sky Sports, the La Liga champions are prepared to loan him out in a bid for him to regain his form.
Demebele has scored three goals and assisted a further six in his first campaign in Spain.
When asked about the 21-year-old, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "Is he on the market? Now I’m interested."
