GABRIEL JESUS is listening to local RADIO in attempt to understand the Manchester accent – but has so far only mastered the word "mate".
The young Brazilian striker has stormed onto the Etihad scene since joining in January, scoring twice in Man City's 2-1 win over Swansea on Sunday.
The 19-year-old has been told by countryman Fernandinho to tune into BBC Radio Manchester to help learn local phrases and the accent.
