MANCHESTER UNITED flop Matteo Darmian has joined Parma in a £1.4million deal.
The Italian defender had fallen out of favour under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – who is on a mission to clear out the deadwood at Old Trafford.
Darmian will join Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling in Serie A following their moves to Italy this summer.
Solskjaer insisted that the 29-year-old did not feature in his long-term plans as he continues his Old Trafford overhaul.
The defender failed to live up to expectations after he joined the Premier League giants from Torino in July 2015.
He made 92 appearances for the club over four years despite playing 39 matches in his debut campaign.
