Manchester City ‘plotting summer swoop for Real Madrid star’

Manchester City are plotting a summer swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Isco.

That is according to Mundo Deportivo, who say Pep Guardiola wants to take the Spaniard from the Bernabeu to the Etihad ahead of next term.

Isco has not always been a regular starter under Zinedine Zidane and it remains to be seen whether he will be named in the starting XI for Saturday night’s Champions League final against Liverpool.

Guardiola and City are bidding for an improvement at Europe’s top table next term having crashed out at the quarter-final stage this year to Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.

And the former Barcelona boss reportedly thinks Isco is a player that can help his side get to where they need to be.
