Manchester United legend Gary Neville reveals his top five Premier League players… and there's no room for Mohamed Salah or N'Golo Kante

Despite arguably being the best players in England last season, the Manchester United legend has left them out of his top five.

Instead, Neville opted for what would make a fearsome five-a-side team, when asked in a Twitter Q&A session earlier today.

David De Gea is the only United player to make the grade, while Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is a somewhat surprising name on the list.

Belgian superstars Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne make up a breathtaking midfield.

Meanwhile, Tottenham and England star Harry Kane is the final name on Neville's list.

That of course means the likes of Salah – along with fellow Reds forwards Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino – fail to get in the team.

Nor does Old Trafford's £89million man Paul Pogba or City stars such as David Silva or Sergio Aguero.

Elsewhere in the Q&A session, Neville claimed he would "just" take Liverpool's fearsome front three over Manchester City's.

However, the Liverpool love-in ended there as he claimed he'd rather see his Salford City team relegated over the Reds winning the Premier League.
