Manchester United make decision over Marcos Rojo’s future

Manchester United are reportedly holding talks with Fenerbahce over a deal for Marcos Rojo.

According to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, the Super Lig runners-up are hoping to agree a loan move for the Argentinian international who has fallen out of favour.

Rojo has dropped behind United defenders Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Eric Lindelof in the pecking order so he is not expected to play much this campaign.

The 28-year-old made only 12 appearances in all competitions last season.

He was not even named in the squad for United’s opener against Leicester City.

Fabinho reveals how close he was to Manchester United transfer

Fabinho says that Manchester United never submitted a bid for him despite continual transfer links.

The Brazilian completed a £45million switch to Liverpool from Monaco earlier this summer, penning a lucrative five-year deal at Anfield.

United were first linked to Fabinho 12 months previous, but he claims that he never once held any talks with Old Trafford chiefs.

There was also reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.

“Manchester never showed any formal interest, they never made me an offer at all," Fabinho told Sky Sports.
