SunSport understands Red Devils boss Mourinho was in town to watch Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic and teammate Nikola Milenkovic, a 20-year-old centre-back who plays for Fiorentina.
Both men have been in fine form for their Serie A clubs this season.

Milinkovic-Savic said: “I am a Lazio player but it’s obvious that I was pleased that a coach of his stature came to watch the match.
“I read a little bit everywhere he was here at the stadium to see me play but that doesn’t mean anything.
“Maybe he was not here for me, but for someone else.”
