Mohamed Salah misses glorious chance to put Liverpool ahead against Stoke – and the world of social media can't believe it

Jordan Henderson played a defence-splitting pass that cut the Potters apart, and left Salah one-on-one with keeper Jack Butland.

But incredibly for a man who has scored 43 goals for his club this season, Salah chipped the ball over the keeper and wide.

It would have also broken the Premier League record of most goals scored in a 38-game season, taking him to 32 goals.

One Twitter user reacted with disbelief that the Egyptian missed, writing "How TF did Salah not score that?"

Connor Levett wrote: "I'm still trying to figure out how the f*** Salah missed that", while Brad Housley "couldn't believe Salah put that wide".

Richard Grosvenor posted how he "cheered his miss assuming he would score", while many others posted how it proved he "is human".

Chris Smith wrote how there must be "witchcraft" going on that prevented Salah scoring his 44th goal of an incredible season.
