That Ndamukong Suh-Matthew Stafford relationship appears to be even frostier than first thought.
Suh, the Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle who spent his first five NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions, took his second thinly veiled shot at Stafford in two months during a media session with Los Angeles reporters Wednesday.
In October, Suh took to Instagram to call Rams quarterback Jared Goff "the best QB I've ever had."
No surprise there. They're teammates, Goff is in the middle of an MVP-caliber season, and you wouldn't expect Suh to say anything else.
But on Wednesday, as he prepares to return home to face the team that drafted him, Suh was asked about that post and whether it was just about Goff or a message to other quarterbacks he has played with in his career.
"That's a great quarterback in Jared," Suh said in video posted on TheRams.com. "I loved him. I’d say another guy that I enjoyed being around was Jay Cutler. Obviously, playing against him many years in the black and blue division up there in Detroit, being able to get to know him down in Miami, he’s a great dude. I enjoy the quarterbacks I’ve been around, but probably those two the most."
Notably absent from that list: Stafford.
Suh and Stafford played the 2010-14 seasons together in Detroit and led the team to two playoff appearances.
