Purdue made sure Thursday night that superfan Tyler Trent's legacy lives on.
Before the Boilermakers men's basketball team took on Iowa (both teams wore #TylerStrong warmups) at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Ind., the university played an inspirational video about the life of Trent, who died on Jan. 1 at 20.
Trent had drawn national attention for his support of the team as he battled bone cancer. He had predicted that Purdue would upset Ohio State, went to the game and watched the Boilermakers win, 49-20.
He was honorary team captain for the Old Oaken Bucket game, a 28-21 Purdue win against Indiana, and had died four days after attending the Music City Bowl, where Purdue lost to Auburn.
