Brighton coach Liam Rosenior is a target for the Republic of Ireland.
The Republic hierarchy are keen on former Fulham and Brighton defender Rosenior to join their coaching set-up for the under-21s.
Rosenior, 34, is currently working with Brighton’s under-23s and is highly respected at the South Coast club as having a big future with them.
That has alerted Republic of Ireland with Martin O’Neill keen to improve the nation’s up and coming youngsters and improving the supply line for the seniors.
Rosenior, who is also a TV pundit with Sky, is already showing good signs as being an outstanding coach and having a big future in the game.
The Republic are keen to their coaching set-up and Rosenior is on their radar to work with the under-21s moving forward.
The Irish have struggled in League B of the UEFA Nations League, and face relegation from Group 4 with just one point from three matches so far vs Denmark and league leaders Wales.
A goalless draw at home to Northern Ireland has failed to add much optimism.
Hence the push for brighter coaching talent to kick-start a new era for the national team.
