Soccer AM’s Tubes admits he ‘nearly cried’ as Man City star Gundogan presented him with touching gift for final show | The Sun

SOCCER AM'S Tubes "nearly cried" after Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan presented him with a gift before the final show.

The iconic football programme will air its final broadcast on Saturday morning after being cancelled by Sky Sports following three decades on our screens.

It was first reported back in March that the long-running show had been cancelled and would not be returning next season.

Presenter John "Fenners" Fendley later claimed on social media that no official decision had been made.

However, Sky have since confirmed that Saturday's show will be the final edition of Soccer AM.

Ahead of the farewell episode, fan-favourite Tubes visited City's training ground to interview Gundogan.

During the visit, he was handed a cake with his face on it before posing for pictures with the German midfielder.

Taking to Instagram, Tubes shared the images and wrote: “Last ever Soccer AM interview done.”

He accompanied his caption with a series of emojis, which included a crying face.

Fans of the show flocked to the comments to share their emotional goodbyes to Soccer AM.
