Spurs boss Pochettino wants Portuguese treble to strengthen squad for title tilt
Tottenham have added a Portuguese trio to their summer transfer wish list.
Winger Gelson Martins, right back Cedric Soares and midfielder Ruben Neves are all on Spurs’ radar.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to increase his options out wide during the next window.
And Sporting Lisbon’s 22 year-old Martins, who can play on both flanks, is in his sights as another wing option along with Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha and Bordeaux’s Malcom.
Spurs are also keeping tabs on Southampton defender Soares’ situation.
The Euro 2016 winner, 26, has impressed for Pochettino’s former club since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2015.
But he would be among the players likely to leave St Mary’s if third-bottom Southampton go down.
And Spurs’ interest casts doubt over the future of Serge Aurier.
The Ivorian fullback has struggled since his £23million move from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
Neves, who has inspired Wolves to the Championship title, has also been watched by Spurs who are open to offers for Mousa Dembele as he heads into the final 12 months left on his contract.
