Texans TE Ryan Griffin arrested in Nashville for punching out hotel window

Metro Nashville Police arrested Houston Texans tight end Ryan Griffin, 29, late Friday night after police say he punched out a front window of Hotel Indigo on Union Street downtown.

Officers responded to a call of a disorderly person at 11:40 p.m. to where hotel security had followed Griffin to the corner of Union Street and 2nd Avenue North after the window breakage.

When officers encountered Griffin, his left hand and fingers were bleeding, according to police. Griffin was arrested on charges of vandalism and public intoxication.

Police say he appeared intoxicated and unsteady on his feet and was physically arrested rather than being issued misdemeanor citations for his own safety.

Griffin’s bond was set at $1,750.  He was released from jail just after 7 a.m. Saturday.
