Willian drops huge hint he wants Manchester United transfer

Willian has admitted he hopes he can work with Jose Mourinho again amid speculation Manchester United are ready to make a move for the Chelsea winger.

The Brazilian continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after the Blues failed to qualify for this season’s Champions League.

Willian had a disappointing term last season after falling out of favour under now departed manager Antonio Conte.

While insisting he is happy at Chelsea and keen to work with new boss Maurizio Sarri, Willian has paid tribute to Mourinho, who he previously played under in west London, and says he wants to play under him once more.

"Mourinho is the best manager I’ve ever worked with," he told ESPN Brasil. "We have a good relationship, we are friends.

"Sometimes we talk, we text, we send messages to each other via WhatsApp. He is a great manager, I really enjoyed working with him. I hope I can work with him again someday."

Despite widespread reports of interest from Old Trafford, Willian insists he knows of no official approach from the Red Devils.

Barcelona have made bids for the flier but these have all been knocked back by Chelsea who are keen to hold on to the forward.

However, Willian says his agent is in contact with Mourinho, and the Special One made no secret of his desire to land him.

"Mourinho talks to my agent all the time, he says ‘bring him, bring him’," he added. "He has never called me, but he always sends me text messages."
