World Cup matches are generally played at high stakes and fans have added more pressure onto the US-England game on Friday, claiming the loser must indefinitely keep James Corden within its borders.

England is in strong form and will only need a win out of Group B’s remaining two rounds of fixtures to progress to the tournament’s knockout stages, following its 6-2 drubbing of Iran.

The US, meanwhile, is still in search of its first victory in Qatar after conceding a late penalty to Wales in a 1-1 draw, Monday.

‘USA vs England this Friday whoever wins getting custody of James Corden,’ one fan tweeted.

James Corden’s name has been popping all over Twitter ahead of the USA-England World Cup match on Friday, as soccer fans claim the loser will have to keep the Brit within its borders

Another fan suggested that the winner ‘gets’ UK-born rapper 21 Savage, who was arrested on immigration charges in 2019 after it was revealed that he had been staying in the US unlawfully since his non-immigrant visa expired in 2006.

The rapper previously stated he was from Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently allowed to travel within the US but not abroad while his case is still pending

‘I’ve seen loads of tweets saying the loser of England v USA keeps James Corden. As an American and a fan of England, I’ve never wanted a game to end in a draw as much as that one,’ another individual said.

‘Saw somewhere where the loser of the USA be England WC game gets to keep James Corden….. USA cannot lose!!’ an American fan tweeted.

‘Motivation for US. Greg to the team: Look, if you lose to England…James Corden is going to be in a lot more in American shows/movies,’ another Star and Stripes fan said, referring to the US head coach, Gregg Berhalter.

‘It’s coming home, but James Corden can’t. England v USA just got a bizarre incentive,’ 101 Great Goals shared, referring to the famous ‘Three Lions’ song from Euro 1996.

‘The loser of England USA gets to keep James Cordon and Pier Morgan,’ a soccer fan tweeted, before another replied: ‘Now that’s a far bigger prize than lifting any World Cup.’

Rapper 21 Savage’s name has also been trending on social media, with soccer fans claiming the winner gets to keep the UK-born artist, who faced claims of illegally staying in the US once his visa expired in 2006

Fans from both teams have stressed that Friday’s match comes with high stakes since Corden’s residency status has been thrown into the mix

The ‘Late Late Show’ host was banned from one of NYC’s most popular restaurants in town – Balthazar – in October after he berated and yelled at servers over getting an omelet order wrong.

Along with his wife, Julia Carey, the couple complained to the server that there was ‘a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk’ and sent the dish back.

Restaurant owner, Keith McNally added: ‘The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad.

‘That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ”You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelet myself!”’

In response, McNally claimed Corden was the ‘most abusive customer ever’, adding that the Brit had previously behaved similarly at another restaurant that he used to own – Cafe Luxembourg.

In October, Corden, who says he suffer from anger issues, was banned from chic, French NYC restaurant Balthazar after being rude to staff

Corden recently announced that he will no longer hosts ‘The Late Late Show’ on CBs in 2023

The shocking allegations come months after Corden announced he would no longer be hosting the late-night talk show in 2023.

McNally, who has a history of booting out celebrities of his exclusive restaurants, later buried the hatchet with the 44-year-old comedian, saying ‘all was forgiven.’ In return, Corden admitted on show that he had wrongly behaved with restaurant staff and ‘deeply’ regretted it.

‘James Corden just called me and apologized profusely,’ McNally shared on his Instagram. ‘Having f***ed up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances.’

The Tony award-winner, who earns $36million a year, shot to fame in the US and became well known for his cheeky British humor on CBS. He once claimed in 2020 that he has anger issues.
