WWE legend The Rock charges staggering £740,000 just to tweet about upcoming Hollywood movies

The wrestler-turned-thespian is plugging Rampage – the story of an albino gorilla, a crocodile and a wolf that balloon in size due to a rogue experiment – while flogging his social media pages.

Showbiz bible Varity claim: “The Rampage star is asking for a one million dollars social-media fee as part of his package for the upcoming Red Notice; that includes promoting the film on the likes of Twitter and Facebook.”

The 46-year-old is banking around £15million for Red Notice, a heist thriller that is set for a 2020 release and a £90m budget.

Johnson – who appears on the outside to be living every man’s dream – admitted at the start of April to wrestling with depression.

The ripped millionaire and father to a new baby daughter, reminded his social media followers that mental health problems do not care for material things.

The Rock said: “Depression never discriminates.

“Took me a long time to realize it but the key is to not be afraid to open up. Especially us dudes have a tendency to keep it in. You’re not alone.”

“I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly.”
