WWE Monday Night Raw superstar Sami Zayn 'taking time off' through injury

The Monday Night Raw ace, real name Rami Sebei, has been working for months with blows to his knee and shoulder.

He has been involved in a feud with Bobby Lashley in recent weeks.

That led to a showdown at Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, which ended in Zayn being defeated in a hugely one-sided match.

Wrestling fans slammed WWE for booking him to lose in such dire fashion.

But now PW Insider claim the fight will be Zayn’s last for a while as he prepares for some time off.

They state the 33-year-old is scheduled to travel to Birmingham, Alabama by the end of the week to be examined.

The severity still remains unclear but Raw viewers will be hoping the Canadian is not sidelined for long.

Meanwhile, WWE surprisingly announced last night that SmackDown Live’s Big Cass has left the company.

The seven-footer lost to Daniel Bryan at MITB and allegedly asked to be released due to being unhappy with his character and storyline on the blue brand.
