The UFC superstar has long been linked with a move into the wrestling world but has been critical of the company’s performers in the past.
But now he has teased a crossover from the octagon to the ring by showing his support to the fellow Dubliner.
Lynch is the hottest thing in WWE and calls herself "The Man" since claiming the SmackDown Women’s Title at Hell in a Cell from bitter rival Charlotte Flair.
She was due to fight UFC legend and her Raw counterpart Ronda Rousey in a mouthwatering champion-vs-champion showdown at Survivor Series last week until disaster struck.
Lynch led the female SmackDown roster in an ambush on the Raw team, but during the melee she was struck in the face by Nia Jax, breaking her nose and ruling her out of the pay-per-view.
Despite being sidelined, the Irish Lass Kicker has remained vocal on social media, reminding everyone of her talents as she continues to trash talk Flair, Rousey and Jax.
However Lynch, real name Rebecca Quin, took to Twitter last night to claim her recent rise is not inspired by McGregor and said she would break his arm if she got close to him – but it sparked an intriguing response from Notorious.
'UGLY S***' WWE legend reveals all about being conceived in rape and how he was molested as a child
In the tweet, she wrote: “The Man channels no one. @TheNotoriousMMA & me are bonded as Irish brother & sister. But if I ever got within 2 miles of him I’d break that bond, and his arm, in three short seconds.
“I’d be too tempting; he’d completely understand too. Proper12 after.”
McGregor, the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight divisions simultaneously, quickly replied, saying: “Call me when you need Proper back up.”
That sparked Lynch – who claims to be running both the Raw and SmackDown women’s divisions – into further action.
And the 31-year-old, who worked out at McGregor’s trainer John Kavanagh’s gym last year, threw open the possibility of the two Irish stars joining forces at WrestleMania in April.
Lynch wrote: “Cheers, Conor. I’m carrying two divisions at the moment, but you know exactly how that is. I hear New York is nice in the spring, though.”
The Showcase of the Immortals takes place at the MetLife Center in the Big Apple on April 7, 2019.
McGregor's UFC future remains unclear after the explosive events following his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
But could we sound see him back in action inside the squared-circle soon. Watch this space.
'A GENUINE OFFER'
CONOR McGREGOR'S coach John Kavanagh has revealed that The Notorious has been offered a £3.8 million to face a Chinese kick boxer.
Kavanagh said the fight would be a three round exhibition bout but made no mention of where it would be held.
The former MMA artist was speaking about the exhibition match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Japanese kick boxer Tenshin Nasukawa before he revealed the news.
