WWE news: Nikki Bella reveals reason why she and Brie viciously attacked Ronda Rousey

The legendary diva and her twin sister Brie teamed with the champ to defeat The Riott Squad last Monday night.

But seconds after the bell the two sisters turned on the UFC legend and delivered a brutal beating to the 31-year-old.

It was then announced Nikki, a two-time Divas Champion, would battle Rousey for the belt at the historic first-ever all-women’s WWE Evolution pay-per-view later this month.

And ahead of her showdown with The Baddest Woman on the Planet the Total Divas reality TV show star explained why she decided to stab her former friend in the back.

Speaking to a panel at ACE Comic Con in Chicago, Bella said: “I thought I was being friendly. I guess that was one way to get my match, I had to turn on her.

“She’s the champ but I’ve been here for 12 years, she hasn’t. So I have to teach her a lesson.”

Since then Rousey, who will no doubt address the attack further on tonight’s Raw at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, has slammed The Bellas.

She told TMZ: “Nikki Bella, Brie Bella … They’re a bunch of untrustworthy b******. The most respectful thing for me to do is to go out and beat her right away, right? So, I’m not gonna be respectful.”

Nikki hit back with a vicious attack herself, tweeting in response to the above comments: “And she’s an undeserving b****. Can’t wait for RAW Philly! N #Bellalution.”
