AEW Dynamite Results see Chris Jericho retain ROH World Championship

A trilogy fight under the AEW banner between ROH World Champion Chris Jericho and Bryan Danielson was the major attraction of AEW Dynamite's first appearance in Canada.

Another title fight for the All-Atlantic Championship between Pac and Orange Cassidy was one viewers were waiting for as well as a clash between wily wrestling veteran Billy Gunn and Swerve Strickland.

'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry vs. Luchasaurus

Being accompanied to the ring by Canada's own Christian Cage, the physically impressive Luchasauras dominated his former tag team champion partner 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry early in the bout.

Both men were close to securing victory several times in the match before Perry was flattened by a chokeslam and was subject to a Burning Hammer, which secured the victory for Luchasauras.

Winner: Luchasauras

WarJoe vs. Nick Comoroto and QT Marshall

In the first tag-team action of the night, ROH Television champion Samoa Joe and TNT champion Wardlow portrayed good chemistry in their early dominance of Nick Comoroto and QT Marshall.

The result was never in doubt as WarJoe made quick work of their opponents to demonstrate just how dangerous they are as a tandem.

Winners: WarJoe

'Daddy Ass' Billy Gunn vs. Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland made every bit of his youth count as he came up against a battle-tested Billy Gunn as the former DX member saw his knee become a target of Strickland.

Gunn has been and will always be a fighter as he attempted to turn the tide of the match before Strickland caught him with a flatliner and ended the match with a Swerve Stomp.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

ROH World Championship Match: Chris Jericho vs. Bryan Danielson

A trilogy for the ages between two titans of the wrestling world.

ROH World Champion Chris Jericho faced off against the former ROH World Champion in Bryan Danielson with the former's title on the line.

In what was an expected gruelling slugfest between the two legends, it was not immune to further drama as ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia made his way to the ring before striking Danielson in the face with his title.

In what was a shock twist of events due to Garcia's rivalry with Jericho, the former's intervention gifted Jericho the win and the opportunity to retain his belt.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida vs. Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Jamie Hayter

Female action was underway for the first time of the night as former AEW world women's champion Hikaru Shida teamed up with current champion Toni Storm against Dr. Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

The action was non-stop as Baker and Hayter focused their energy on Storm before the beaten-down champion desperately tagged Shida in for a reprieve.

Shida and Baker then engaged in back and forth encounter before the former stole the victory for her and Storm.

Winners: Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida

All-Atlantic Championship Match: Orange Cassidy vs. Pac

Pac showed the Canadian crowd why he is the All-Atlantic Champion after dominating Orange Cassidy at the beginning of the title match.

It looked like the win was coming for Pac after he applied the Brutalizer but Cassidy was able to escape and in fact drew blood from Pac.

After Pac's attempt to grab the ring bell hammer, this bought Cassidy time to recover from the latest onslaught he suffered as he delivered an Orange Punch to the champion and hit him with another to secure his first ever championship in AEW.

Winner: Orange Cassidy
