Self-taught athlete shows off his incredible skills as he pulls off a series of ONE-LEGGED backflips
- Samuel Plummer, 25, taught himself to back flip in his garden in Birmingham
- Nine years later he has performed in France, California, Greece and Colorado
- The athlete, who dedicated his life to the sport Tricking, does one-legged flips
An athlete who spent nine years training to perform more than 20 one-legged back flips in a row is one of only three people in the world to achieve the feat.
Since then he has dedicated his life to the sport of Tricking – a martial art that involves blending kicks and flips together to create a performance.
Samuel Plummer, 25, first learnt how to back flip in his garden in Birmingham at the age of 16
Mr Plummer’s specialty is a one legged ‘Gainer Switch’ back flip which he learnt after suffering a broken angle.
By adapting his routine to land on his healthy foot he was able to keep training – despite his injury.
Displaying his skills around the world Mr Plummer has traveled to France, California, Greece and Colorado.

A video showing his impressive skills includes a performance outside in front of an impressed crowd, completing tricks just yards away from young children and shocking people in a gym with outbursts of incredible flips.
At one point he completes 20 one-legged back flips in a row to the shock of those watching on. He only stops flipping when he gets too close to a walled mirror.
In another slow motion shot Mr Plummer has to pull at his trousers mid-flip to stop them slipping down.
He doesn’t confine his practice to the gym though, and another clip shows him flipping in front of a historical building.
‘Jeez, I wasn’t expecting that,’ an onlooker says when he finishes.
