Baby, 1, who died after falling from window named and pictured
One-year-old Lexi Bergene fell from a third-floor flat in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire on Wednesday.
She was taken to Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children but later died from her injuries.
Cops investigating the incident, which took place at a block of flats on Dumbarton Road, say there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
Det Insp Steve Martin said: “The little girl’s family have been left devastated by the loss of their child and we are investigating the circumstances surrounding what happened.
“I continue to appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have rendered assistance to the family or emergency services, to please get in touch.
Eyewitnesses earlier described hearing a hysterical woman screaming for help moments after the fall.
One resident who lives across the road told the Daily Record: “I was cycling to the park with my young son.
“All you could see was this massive pool of blood all over the pavement.
“There was one woman in total hysteria, she couldn’t stop screaming and crying. That could have been the wee girl’s mum.
“There were another two women there who were in a state too.”
