BREAKING: Brit man, 58, found dead at hotel in Thai expat hotspot

The body of the 58-year-old was discovered by rescue workers in a hotel in Patong yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to the You and Me apartment complex at Phra Baramee Road at 8:46 am.

The police reported that they had found no signs of a struggle in the room.

It is believed the man is originally from Stockport.

Cops found medication for interjestion in the man’s room but say it is unclear if they had anything to do with the man’s death at this stage.

A friend of the deceased, Chanitree “Natta” Sireekerger, has been trying to contact relatives to make arrangements for the man’s funeral or repatriation, according to Thai media.

Police say that he had died several days before the discovery.
