Cops seeking teen for gunning down fellow teen on Brooklyn basketball court

A 14-year-old boy is believed to be behind the death of another doomed teen, gunned down on a Brooklyn basketball court, police said.

The NYPD said on Monday they’re looking for Aaron Nathaniel in connection with the Sept. 21 shooting of 16-year-old Queens boy Timothy Oyebola.

Witnesses told cops they saw Nathaniel shoot twice in the playground in Chester Park, where Oyebola was shooting hoops.

One of the bullets struck Oyebola in the head and he died at Brookdale Hospital.

The teen’s devastated dad, David Oyebola, told The Post soon after the shooting that his son “was a calm, quiet, obedient child” who loved basketball.

It’s unclear if the two teens knew each other — but cops have said Oyebola, a Brooklyn Ascend HS student, doesn’t appear to have been the intended target, since the shots were fired from over 100-feet away.

The 14-year-old suspect is described as black, about 5-foot-6, and weighing about 115 pounds. He was last seen shirtless, wearing ripped jeans and a bandanna, walking near the scene of the murder.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
