A baby’s birth has been captured on dash cam as she made a "shock" arrival in her dad’s car.
Kara Lee started having contractions but having already had three children, she didn’t start to panic.
But as the contractions got closer, the 28-year-old, along with husband Stewart made their way to Nottingham City Hopsital.
But the couple failed to get inside the maternity ward and Kara ended up delivering her baby in the car park, Nottinghamshire Live reports.
Mrs Lee, a stay-at-home mum, said: "It was one of my son’s graduation from nursery , so we went along to that.
"I had a few cramps at this point but they were quite far apart. I think maybe an hour after we got to the nursery I was giving birth – it all happened so quickly.
"We got back home after the graduation and all of a sudden the cramps were every five minutes and I just knew she was coming.
"As I got into the car my waters broke and as we pulled into the car park I couldn’t move as her head was coming out. It all happened so fast and I think I was just in shock."
At 3.07pm their baby daughter Kaitlyn was born, weighing 8lb 4oz.
Mr Lee, an electrician, said: "She had contractions that were half an hour apart and you are told not to go into hospital until they are five to ten minutes apart but that just happened so quickly.
"If we had been any slower, I genuinely think I would have had to deliver our own baby in the street.
"We are so lucky we live close by to the hospital. It could have been a completely different story.
"Kara was amazing. She was so calm and she just got on with it. The staff were such a help too.
"We are so grateful."
The pair, who have three boys already aged 10, six and four, wanted to thank the team of midwives who met them in the car park and helped to deliver their child.
