David Beckham made a rookie error at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding before courtiers put him right.
The footballer, 45, and Spice Girls wife Victoria, 46, who was pregnant at the time, were among the 1,900 guests invited to the spectacular nuptials at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.
The ceremony was watched by billions around the world and left Britain abuzz with wedding fever. Among the other wedding guests were Sir Elton John and partner David Furnish, along with socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.
Victoria wore a midnight blue dress, from her own fashion collection, with a matching pillbox hat – and killer heels.
While David donned a dapper Ralph Lauren 3 piece suit and top hat.
But, according to OK! Magazine, the ex-England footballer made an awkward error.
He wore his OBE on the wrong side of his chest before courtiers put him right.
It should be worn on the left, but very few would have noticed David's faux pas.
The star was awarded the OBE by the Queen in 2003 and the Real Madrid and former Manchester United player said it was the "best" honour he had ever received.
After the wedding, the Beckhams said in a statement: "Today's ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt. Catherine looked wonderfully elegant and we were honoured to be part of such a special, historical day for our country.
"We wish Catherine and William much love and happiness for the future."
Meanwhile, after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family last year, David came out in support of the couple.
He said he was “proud” of the Duke and described him as an “amazing” person.
David told ET Online : "I haven't spoken to Harry about him moving. We speak as friends and that's the most important thing for me.

"I think he's enjoying being a young father for the first time and that's what we always spoke about.
"When you are a parent it changes everything for you."
He added: "We love him and he's an amazing person – and that's the most important thing.
"But I'm proud to see him growing up as an individual and being that person every father wants to be."
Last year, he appeared alongside William for a campaign to promote talking about mental health in sport.
Their Zoom chat also included Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti, England Women’s captain Steph Houghton and Crystal Palace's Andros Townsend.
David told the group: "We all know now that it's okay not to be okay, and it's okay to say that. It's okay to come out and say I need help."
