Dennis Rodman says he’s praying for Kim Jong Un: ‘I hope it’s just a rumor’
Former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman is praying for Kim Jong Un’s recovery amid reports that the North Korean leader is in critical condition after undergoing surgery.
The NBA player met Jong Un in 2013 and then again in 2014 at an NBA exhibition game, along with several other NBA superstars.
“I hope it’s just a rumor that Marshal Kim Jong Un is sick,” Rodman told TMZ sports. “Hopefully I will find out more soon.”
Back in 2019, the young dictator and longtime NBA fan begged the US to send ‘famous basketball players’ before he met President Donald Trump in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Rodman, who last visited North Korea in 2017, has repeatedly approached his friend, and former “Celebrity Apprentice” colleague Donald Trump to let him help strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
“There is still so much work we have to do between both the USA and DPRK,” Rodman said. “If he is not feeling well, I am praying for his speedy recovery, so that both my friends [President Trump & Marshal Kim] can continue towards a peaceful success.”
