Medics in Bolivia have begun injecting industrial bleach as a treatment for coronavirus.
The South American nation has given in to misinformation and has begun injecting Covid patents and the unvaccinated with a mixture of chlorine dioxide and saline solution.
Last year, Bolivia legalized the production and sale of chlorine dioxide as an alternative treatment for the virus as people began looking for ways to protect themselves.
But with a vaccine now readily available, it appears people are still searching for an alternative.
According to 6buzz, hospitals charge $150 [£110] for the service, which is done with an IV drip over the course of three separate 12 hour days.
The charge is a significant amount as the average salary in Bolivia country only brings in $700 [£512] a month.
Bleach has been championed as one of many 'magic cure' methods that have received serious warnings of the pandemic. Others have included fish tank cleaners to horse deworming.
Last year, former US President Donald Trump questioned experts about possibly ingesting bleach as a treatment.
He said: "Supposing we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light? And I think you said, that hasn’t been checked out, but you’re going to test it.
"And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too.

However, it didn’t take long for medical professionals to weigh in on the president’s potentially dangerous pondering.
Walter Shaub, the ex-boss of the Office of Government Ethics in the US, is reported to have called Trump “a moron”.

He said on Twitter: “It is incomprehensible to me that a moron like this holds the highest office in the land and that there exist people stupid enough to think this is OK.
“I can’t believe that in 2020 I have to caution anyone listening to the president that injecting disinfectant could kill you.”
Other healthcare professionals also said ingesting such substances, like disinfectants, would probably prove fatal.
