Hilarious video footage shows a golden retriever jumping up and down in it’s living room while watching coverage of the royal wedding in Maryland.

Nine-year-old Scooby Doo was leaping into the air as the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex left Windsor Castle in their horse-drawn carriage on Saturday.

The video shows the pooch watching the proceedings intently with his owners, Sanny Vernon, 49, and Roger Vernon, 53, before putting on the enthusiastic display of good wishes for the happy couple.

His owners think the sight of Meghan Markle in her ‘beautiful wedding dress’ as well as the horses, made him particularly excited.

Sanny, from Maryland, US, said: ‘We were watching the royal wedding and he just got up in front of the TV and started jumping up and down with his stuffed toy in his mouth.
