Door-to-door testing has been ordered for another two areas of the UK following another case of the South Africa variant.
Residents in Worcestershire now face the same surge testing from Saturday as those in affected parts of Surrey have been earlier this week.
Those living in WR3 and parts of the WR9 postcode will be tested.
A mobile testing hub will be set up by The White Hart pub in Fernhill Heath, near Worcester, for locals to get tested even if they don't have symptoms, The Sun reports.
People in the affected areas will also have access to home testing kits in order to maximise the number of results.
Worcestershire County Council has said the unspecified number of cases "cannot be traced back to international travel" and has urged everyone over 18 these postcodes to get tested.
The authority confirmed the Covid-19 patients who tested positive with the variant, were self-isolating and contact tracing had taken place.
