A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 33-year-old Natalie Saunders, whose body was found on Tomlinson on Sunday morning.
In a statement, her family said: "Natalie was a loving daughter, sister and mother of five children.
"We are deeply heartbroken at this difficult time and ask for privacy to come to terms with what has happened.
"Natalie was a beautiful lady and we will miss her. Natalie, you will forever and always be in our hearts and thoughts.
"Sweet dreams, sleep tight and we pray you are now at peace."
Stephen Charlton, 24, appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on today, charged with murder and police inquiries are ongoing.
Her home has been cordoned off and a police van has been seen guarding the scene.
Detectives are asking for anyone who heard a "noisy disturbance" on Saturday night to come forward.
