Nile Gardiner, Director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at The Heritage Foundation, explained how the 80-year-old Left-wing leader has miserably failed to hold the flag of the US. Writing for The Telegraph, Mr Gardiner blasted the “flailing” 79-year-old.
He wrote: “Once hailed as the man who would ‘restore America’s standing in the world’, Biden is overseeing the stunning decline of the world’s superpower.
“A year after taking office, he is flailing at home and abroad, and could well end up a lame duck halfway through his presidency.”
The 46th President of the US completed his first press conference of the year on Wednesday by bragging about how many people stepped up to be vaccinated and his American Rescue Plan, which provided $1.9 trillion in COVID-19 relief money in the early days of his presidency.
However, his way of tackling the leadership has not gone down well with officials, continues Mr Gardiner who claimed that several diplomats across Europe have lost faith in America.
He wrote: “In the past few months, I have spoken to dozens of parliamentarians, officials and diplomats across Europe who have simply lost faith in American leadership.
“One very senior British MP told me last week that Biden’s foreign policy was “appalling” and “completely useless”.
“And this is coming from America’s closest friend and ally, the UK.
“With an unashamedly anti-Brexit stance, and an arrogant willingness to lecture Britain on the Northern Ireland Protocol, Biden has succeeded in undermining the Special Relationship.”
In September 2021, Biden played down the chances of a post-Brexit free trade deal between the US and UK, as he held talks with Boris Johnson at the White House.
The US president said he would discuss the issue “a little bit” with the UK prime minister, adding: “We’re going to have to work that through.”
In the opinion piece, the British conservative commentator slammed the Biden administration for “tearing the fabric of the United States apart”.
He said: “Biden’s America has become a byword for economic turmoil, urban decay, rampant lawlessness and far-Left policies that are tearing the fabric of the United States apart.

He said: “Biden’s America has become a byword for economic turmoil, urban decay, rampant lawlessness and far-Left policies that are tearing the fabric of the United States apart.
“Joe Biden’s first year in office has been catastrophic. With good reason his poll numbers are tanking, and the American people are increasingly turning against the most Left-wing presidency in US history.
“As witnessed in the dramatic recent election for governor of Virginia, a conservative revolution is coming to the US at both the state and Congressional level, with November’s mid-term elections likely to dramatically shift the balance of power on Capitol Hill.”
