Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has been named the world's richest man by Forbes for the fourth year running.
The publication's 35th annual rich list revealed the staggering wealth of some of the world's richest people, with Mr Bezos worth an eye-watering $177 billion (£123 billion).
The number of billionaires rose to an unprecedented 2,755, 660 more than a year ago.
Altogether they are worth a staggering $13.1 trillion (£9.47 trillion), up from $8 trillion (£5.78 trillion) on the 2020 list.
Tesla boss Elon Musk is second on the list with a healthy $151 billion (£109 billion), a huge $126.4 billion (£91 billion) increase on the previous 12 months when he was ranked just 31st by Forbes.
French luxury goods tycoon Bernard Arnault holds onto his spot at number three with a fortune of nearly $150 billion (£108.5 billion).
The top 10 on the list are worth $1.15 trillion (£830 billion), up by two-thirds from $686 billion (£496 billion) last year.
Completing the top five are Microsoft's Bill Gates with $124 billion (£89 billion) and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg on $97 billion (£70 billion). Facebook’s shares have risen 80% in the past year.
In February Mr Bezos announced he will be stepping down as Amazon's CEO. He started the huge firm in a garage as an online bookstore in 1994 and built it into a world-renowned company.
One of the main reasons Mr Musk has shot up the list is the explosion of Tesla shares, which climbed by a huge 705% in the last year.
This time last year there was only one person who was worth more than $100 billion (£72 billion).
Notable people to follow off the list include media personality Kylie Jenner.
