A close friend of the Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot dead in Los Angeles in March, was fatally wounded in Brooklyn Tuesday night and died of his injuries after refusing to share any information about his shooter with the police.
Arsenio Gravesande, 28, was shot in the hip at Union Street and Sutter Avenue in the Brownsville neighborhood at around 9.20pm.
Gravesande, who was reportedly a member of a notorious street gang, was rushed to an area hospital but could not be saved.

Gravesande, a father-of-two, reportedly refused to share any details with police concerning his shooter
His cousin, Bethany Samuels, told the New York Daily News that she heard of the shooting and came running to the scene, where she found Gravesande writhing on the sidewalk and saying that he cannot breathe.
‘He kept telling me, “Bethany, I’m dead, I can’t breathe, I’m dead.” I was telling him, “No, you’re not dead,”‘ she recounted.
Gravesande remained conscious during the ambulance ride to Brookdale University Hospital, but he reportedly declined to divulge any details about the identity of the person who shot him.
His cousin speculated that Gravesande was lured into an ambush after getting a phone call telling him to meet someone around the corner from his house.
The young father-of-two walked over to Union Street with two friends in tow, and five minutes later gunshots rang out.
Gravesande, who once appeared in Nipsey Hussle’s music video, was purportedly a member of the G Stone Crips gang.
In 2012, he was wounded in a shooting that killed his friend, boxer Trendon Franklin.

He is survived by his seven-year-old son and four-year-old daughter.
Gravesande was one of five people killed in New York City over a period of 24 hours. Three of the victims, including the 28-year-old, were shot dead in Brooklyn within an hour, reported PIX11.

In May, a grand jury indicted 29-year-old Eric Holder Jr in Hussle’s murder. He could get life in prison if convicted.
Witnesses heard Holder and Hussle, both of whom had ties to the Rollin’ 60s street gang, discussing ‘snitching’ minutes before Hussle was shot, according to grand jury transcripts.
