Giuliani: There’s a ‘50/50’ chance Mueller will subpoena Trump

Rudy Giuliani said on Thursday that there was a “50/50” chance that Special Counsel Robert Mueller would subpoena President Trump in order to compel him to testify in the Russia probe.

“I think it’s 50/50,” Giuliani told ABC News about the possibility of a subpoena. “But I got to prepare for that 50 percent.”

Giuliani, acting as the president’s new lawyer, also said the probe into the $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels is not an issue — since he revealed to Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday that it was not a campaign finance violation.

“I think the investigation with him [Michael Cohen] largely fell apart, with the loss of the campaign finance possible violation which never existed in the first place, but they sure thought it did,” Giuliani told

The former NYC mayor has gone on a media blitz in an attempt to defend the president. He said that the whole investigation into Russia should be wrapped up pretty quickly.

“They’re going to close the investigation within a month and a half or two months of the interview,” he said.

“We’ll get all the questions in advance, we’ll knock it down to about half of what they wanted to ask.”
