A luxury seaside home that sits above one of Britain’s most bodacious surfing beaches has gone on the market for £1.15million.
Nothing stands between the four-bed property, called Compass North, and Fistral Beach in Cornwall apart from the protected green landscape of Newquay Golf Course.
The 1930s detached house that is on the market with estate agents Rohrs & Rowe, has uninterrupted views of the sandy beach and clear blue waters.
It has 3,675 sq ft of accommodation with sitting room, sun room, kitchen/dining room, drawing room, four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a gym or fifth bedroom.
There is also a downstairs shower room for de-sanding post beach activities and the property also boasts a double garage, landscaped gardens and a sun terrace.

The living room at the four bedroom property has beautiful hard wood floors and boasts a fire place replete with log burner
One of the bedrooms at the property gives you a stunning view of Fistral Beach and the windows give the room a nice airy, bright feel
Surfers are a notoriously fit bunch who need to be in tip-top shape to be able to carve up the waves on the beach. The home comes with a home gym handy for keeping you ready for surfing
A separate living area at the property also gives you stunning views of the beach and golf course and has a log burner ready for those cold winters
Large groups of surfers regularly use the beach and take advantage of the good surf at Fistral Beach. A number of competitions take place annually attracting surfers and spectators alike
Martin Rohrs, from Rohrs & Rowe, said: ‘The house is right next to Fistral Beach. Newquay Golf Course is between you and the beach so you’ve got that protected piece of ground which won’t be developed on – it’s 120 years old so it’s a very established course.
‘The house was built in about the 1930s and you don’t get properties of this size come up very often. There has been development in Newquay in recent years but mostly smaller houses and flats.
‘To get one in a good-sized garden, and particularly with a view like this, is a rarity.
‘Compass North has spectacular uninterrupted views of the golf course and the beach.
‘You can walk down the road and be on the beach in three minutes, which is really handy for anyone that enjoys surfing.
‘It might appeal to someone looking to relocate for a lifestyle change or early retirement or it may be someone looking for a second home.
‘It’s an exceptionally nice place, the owners have been there about 20 years and brought their children up there but are now downsizing.
‘I think Newquay went through a period of perhaps marketing itself to the wrong people, but in the last few years it has come up again and is hugely desirable now.’
