Health crisis: Papua New Guinea fights tuberculosis menace

In the grip of a health crisis, Papua New Guinea could have spent money in a better way, say some.

    Earlier this month, world leaders assembled in Papua New Guinea for the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit – the biggest event in the country’s history.

    However, government critics say hosting the APEC summit was a costly affair, especially when the country faces many challenges. The spread of tuberculosis is one of those problems they cite.
