A professional fighter kicked his partner out of their hotel bed before punching and stamping on her as she begged him to stop.
Former soldier and undefeated mixed martial arts brute Anthony Bailey, left his girlfriend needing hospital treatment for a broken wrist and other nasty injuries.
The 39-year-old launched the vicious attack on September 21 after quizzing his victim about her past, despite him having a wife when they began dating.
At court on Judge Glenn branded Bailey hypocritical and a 'weapon in his own right' in sentencing him to 21 months behind bars, StokeonTrentLive reports.
Prosecutor Lynette McClement said: "They were lying in bed and the defendant started to talk to his victim about her past. She suggested they go to sleep and they did.
"However a few hours later she was woken up by him berating her about a man she had dated previously.
"He physically kicked her out the bed. He kicked and punched her and stamped on her. She begged him to stop.
"She suffered injuries to her head, side and wrist. She told him she could not breathe and she knew he had broken her wrist straight away.
"He continued to shout at her. He got into bed but told her to stay on the floor. She picked up a few items. He asked where she was going and told her to stay. She got in bed and lay awake before leaving at 7am."
The victim later went to hospital and was treated for a fractured wrist, bruised and displaced ribs and bruising to her head.

She went to stay with a friend but the defendant persisted in calling her.
During a call the victim said she wanted to be left alone but Bailey threatened to shoot her. He told her not to use his name when talking to him. He said he would leave a 'trail of destruction' and added, 'I will boot the door off and put one in your face'.
In a statement read out at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court his victim said she was devastated and she has been left with trust issues.
Bailey, of Weston Road, Weston Coyney, pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and sending a malicious communication.
Barry White, mitigating, said the defendant is ashamed by what he said in the call and how he treated his victim.

The former soldier, who spent 10 years in the military and three years in Iraq working for a private company, suffers with post traumatic stress disorder. He has tried to seek help and has privately-funded counselling.
Judge Glenn said: "This was a deeply unpleasant incident. In the build up it seems you had taken exception with the fact she had not contacted you when you thought she should.
"She says you calmed down. She arranged to meet you at the hotel. You brought up her past, one man in particular. That is indicative of your jealousy and possessiveness and somewhat hypocritical as you were a married man and had been in a relationship with her.
"She proposed you went to sleep but you woke her up to further interrogate her. You kicked her a few times, punched her a couple of times and she believes you stamped on her. She begged you to stop. When you did she knew straight away she had a broken wrist."
He added: "You kicked her, you stamped on her, you are a highly trained fighter. You are probably a weapon in your own right. The inference I draw is at the time you intended to cause more serious harm than you did."
