Kanye West is accused of PUNCHING a fan who asked for his autograph and is now being investigated for criminal battery
Kanye West is being investigated for criminal battery after being accused of punching a fan who asked for his autograph early Thursday morning.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that West got into an argument with the fan around 3 a.m. outside the Soho Warehouse, a members-only club, in Downtown Los Angeles.
The fan approached West, who was sitting in vehicle, and asked for an autograph, KTTV reported.
There was a heated exchange and West allegedly punched the fan, knocking him to the ground, before driving away.
Police are investigating the crime as misdemeanor battery, which carries a maximum jail sentence of 6 months.
Earlier in the evening, West had been partying at Delilah nightclub in West Hollywood with Julia Fox, TMZ reported. He left while she remained at the club.
