Actress Liz Hurley’s £6million Herefordshire mansion was burgled last week while she was home entertaining guests for a dinner party.
The 52-year-old model called the police in the early hours of Sunday morning after hosting a party the previous night.
It is believed the thieves, who are still at large, broke in through an upstairs window and escaped with jewellery.
They fled when the actress noticed and called the police.

Sniffer dogs helped police to rule out a stalker as they believe the raid was random.
Last month, Ms Hurley’s 21-year-old nephew Miles was stabbed following a car crash in London.
She is believed to have stepped up security after the attack, and has again since last week’s break in.
‘She has CCTV, sensors and on-site guards. The place is now like Fort Knox. The house is surrounded by its own grounds with entry via locked gates and a long drive’ a source told the Sun.
Police believe the raiders were parked about half a mile away, and then walked up the footpath to gain entrance to the mansion.
A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: ‘At about 9am on Sunday 19 November 2017, West Mercia Police received reports of a burglary in progress at a property.
‘Officers attended, and the incident was investigated. No arrests have been made. If any new information comes to light it will be looked into.’
