Man suspected of injuring two women in a carjacking held on $1 million bond.

A man suspected of injuring two women in a Lakewood carjacking has been charged with attempted murder, among other charges, and he is being held on $1 million bond.

Robert Eugene Harrison, 42, appeared in court on Wednesday where he was charged with multiple felonies, according to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.

On Oct. 12, Harrison allegedly stole a car in the 400 block of Benton Street, pulling two victims from the vehicle and running them over as he fled, according to a news release. The victims, ages 89 and 79, were seriously injured.

Harrison, who was arrested on Oct. 21, is charged with first-degree assault, aggravated robbery, robbery of an at-risk person, theft from an at-risk person, aggravated motor vehicle theft and vehicular eluding, all felonies, for which he faces multiple counts.

He is being held on $1 million bond and he has a preliminary hearing scheduled on Nov. 17.
