A daredevil busted for scaling the side of a Chelsea high-rise last fall pleaded guilty Friday — in exchange for two days of community service for the stunt.
Staten Island resident James Lotito, 31, was arrested after bystanders spotted him scrambling up the facade of an apartment building on the corner of West 19th Street and 11th Avenue in Manhattan on Nov. 11, police said.
The thrill-seeker, who was armed with a GoPro recording device, made it to the ninth floor of the ritzy building before cops arrived on the scene — and was surrounded by officers waiting for him on a seventh-floor balcony, authorities said.
A video posted to Lotito’s YouTube days after his arrest boasted about the climb.
“Police took my GoPro and are holding it as evidence,” Lotito wrote in the caption. “Although I did not make it to the top the climb was very cool and required different climbing techniques too [sic] get up.”
He was originally charged with reckless endangerment and criminal trespass for the exploit but pleaded down to disorderly conduct in court Friday.
