Speeding motorcyclist runs a red light and smashes into scooters sending riders sprawling across busy junction

  • The incident was filmed on the dashcam of an onlooking car in Cebu, Philippines
  • Both sets of passengers crash to the ground as debris showers the road
  • They steadily get to their feet and luckily, no one appears to be seriously injured

A speeding motorcyclist ran a red light before colliding into other riders which sent them crashing to the floor.

The crash was captured by a dashcam from the car that had pulled up behind the motorcycles on the road in Cebu, the Philippines.  

In the footage, the car has stopped at a red light with around six motorcycles surrounding him.

As the lights change, all the vehicles slowly begin to pull off before suddenly another motorcyclist speeds across from the left-hand side of the screen.

There is a loud smash as he collides with the yellow motorcycle at the head of the pack. 

Both sets of passengers are sent crashing to the tarmac as debris from the two bikes showers the road.

The other drivers can only look on in concern as the traffic temporarily comes to a standstill.

Luckily, both sets of riders steadily get to their feet and do not appear to be seriously injured. 

Cars queuing behind begin to beep with impatience and vehicles at the front begin to weave through the wreckage to continue on their journey. 

A traffic warden on the scene can be seen in the right of the screen speaking into his radio.

One driver’s helmet is left in the middle of the road as the car drives off, which is where the video ends.  

The driver of the car Harry Preciados said the victims did not appear to be severely injured but that they had filed a complaint against the reckless driver. 

He added: ‘I hope we all follow the traffic rules to avoid these accidents.’
